These books about Buffalo Bill were those in which authorship by a member of the family, or other family interest, existed. Since the family organization's resour ces were needed for other purposes, Aldus paid for them personally. Gainesville Set For Florida Circle Feb. 26-28 The annual Florida Circle reunion will be held in GainesvilleFLFeb. 26-28 with Carmen Murray as hostess for the local committee. It is hoped that Internation al PresidentGerald Cody can be present to report on progress of the family's educational trust An informal early-bird get-together at the Murray home is planned for Friday evening, Saturday's program will include a visit to the Florida State Museum, Devil'sMillhopper StateGeo logical Site,or theUniversity art gallery, and theannual dinnerwillbeheldSatur-dayevening at nearby Alachua. At the former wholesale price these books represent a value of $18487.50, an amount of money that would provide an excellent base for the Educational Trust fund. In an effort to convert this inven tory to cash to meet the challenges and opportunities, pricing of these books has been reduced to $4 per copy. They will beoffered in wholesalelots at$2.50 each. At the same time sets of "all four" Buffalo Bill books with matching slip-case willbe reduced from $35 to $20, and sets of the five old directories in match ing livery will be reduced from $20 to $10. A limited number of Philip and Martha paperbacks, Volume I and II, will be offered at $4. Price of the hardcover Philip and Martha book is $60 and the companion Five Generations is $20, together $80 with slipcase (whilesupply lasts) not in cluding shipping. Only 29 copies of the hardcover Philip and Martha remain in inventory.Whenthesearesold materials appear available to manufacture another 100 copies without going back to press. Also reduced are the Cody crest latch-hook pattern (.50), the 5-genera-tion charts (.50),and the screen printed fabric emblems ($1). The photoprint of the cresthas been increased to$5 and the Luther Cody equestrian photograph of Buffalo Bill has increased to $10 in the (Continued onpage 2) Foundation to Be Submitted to IRS The International Cody Family Foundation,Inc.,becamedulychartered by the State of Ohio December 18,1987, and ICFA President Gerald Cody said steps would be taken immediately to qualify with the Internal Revenue Ser vice as a tax-deductible non-profit cor poration. Trustees of the Foundation, as listed in the charter, include Kit Carson Cody, Cody WY, James Cody, Pomona CA, and Hiram Cody,! Asheville NC. Gerald is listed as "statutory agent" in compliance with Ohio law. Principal of fice of the Foundation will be in Massil-lonOH. Authority to proceed with estab lishment of the foundation was granted at thebiennial convention ofthe Interna tional Cody Family Association in Cody WY in mid-June. During the last yearwe have had our family convention at Cody, Wyoming and all that attended appeared to have a good time.Thiswas the first trip to Cody for Marilyn and I. We both were enthralled with the scenery, history, and people that we were privileged to enjoy. Our hosts in Cody, BillGarlow and Kit Carson Cody, did a wonderful job of or ganizing the various eventsand making us all feel at home. A special thank you to Bill and Kit for their hard work. We are both looking forward to going to Cody again in 10 years and hopefully sooner for a vacation.
