Interview with Longibardi on Forest Service plan, which after years of public meetings, inserted a plan to allow ATV's and Snowmobiles all the way up Franc's Peak. Longibardi says the wildlife, wildland, and watershed values there are so high they shouldn't be compromised by ATV use. He talks about new ATV's with caterpillar tracks on their wheels, covered with mud, and says they were probably horn hunters tearing up the country and spooking the elk. Says snow machines can go where they couldn't go 10 years ago. Says everytime we compromise, wildlife loses. He says the new snowmobiles can probably get up to the top of Franc's Peak from Jack Creek.
