Grizzly cub grazing and eating. Grizzly sow grazing. This was one of the most famous sows in Yellowstone at the time, notwithstanding #104 near the East Gate. Grizzly sow 264 was often seen roadside, and she and her cubs were frequently photographed. She was later hit by a car. Her back was broken, and she had to be euthanized. She is seen her digging for foot, perhaps roots. Camera pulls out to a wide shot revealing two cubs grazing and eating near sow 264. Tight shot of 264 laying down and eating, then pan over to cub walking to eat near her . Wide shot showing sow and two cubs. Snow in the background. The camera zooms in to show sow touching noses with one of her cubs. Camera pans over to the other cub, then back to show sow nudging, and gently biting the cub, as if playing. More tight footage of 264 alone, then with her cubs as she moves close to them. The camera follows her through the dead snags. Cubs follow her as she forages. Shot of one of the cubs standing up and scratching his back against a tree trunk. Tight to wide shot of sow and cubs eating. One of the cubs scratches it's back on the tree trunk while sow and other cub graze. Tight shot of one cub rolling on his back, being cute. The sound of cameras clicking reveals many are taking his picture at that moment. He plays with his foot. Camera pulls out wide to reveal three bears again. Shot of scores of photographers standing alongside the road, taking pictures of the sow and her two cubs. 264's cubs are wrestling and playing, clearly visible until another photographer squats down in front of the videographer. Longer sequence of cubs fighting.
