A pre view and reception in the rotunda (Continued on page 4) Interesting Program in Store at Cody, Aug. 23-24 Provisions for family dinner for more than a hundred members of the Cody clan are being made by the local committee for the 1969 Cody Family Reunion August 23 and 24 in Cody, Wyoming. In ad dition to visiting members of the International Cody Family Associ ation, interested townspeople will be welcome. Pilgrimage from LeClaire, Iowa, Expected to Draw Attendance Richard I. Frost, curator of the Buffalo Bill Museum, and Fred Garlow, grandson of Col. William F. "Buffalo Bill" Cody, are mem bers of the local committee on ar rangements. The Cody Auditorium clubroom has been reserved for the Saturday night family dinner, which will be catered by a local firm. The price of $4.00 per plate will include tax and gratuities, and children's plates will be available, Frost states. Plans call for reunion registrants to be guests of the museum during Saturday afternoon. Reservations should be made directly with the motel of your choice; however, reservations for the family dinner and the Sunday picnic lunch should be mailed directly to family headquarters in Kissimmee, Florida. Members of the family will be Expressing hope that the 1969 re union at Cody, Wyoming, will be outstanding from a standpoint of attendance, President Evon Cody of Hanford, California, extended a welcome "to all friends of the West." The reunion will also serve to spotlight the newly opened Buffalo Bill Historical Center which em braces the Whitney Gallery of Western Art as well as the Buffalo Bill museum and the Plains Indian museum. "We want to make it clear that all persons interested in the life and times of Col. Cody will be most welcome at our meeting." "I hope that the pilgrimage from Davenport to Cody by way of Le Claire, Leavenworth, and North Platte will bring additional indi viduals into participation in our family fellowship," Evon says. It will be the family's first na tional get-together since 1966. More interest has been expressed from a wider geographical area than has been the case of any re union in recent years, Evon reports.
