Historical Note |
Started in 1894 as the Savage Repeating Arms Company by Arthur Savage in Utica, New York. Company bought and merged with many other arms companies over the years including: Driggs-Seabury Ordnance Company (circa 1915), J. Stevens Arms (1920), Page Lewis Company, Crescent Firearms, A. H. Fox, and Davis-Warner Arms. Also went by the names of the Savage Arms Corporation, Savage Arms, and Savage/Anschutz. |
